Millenium Warmup (sic): 1999.08.19-20

353 Broadway between Franklin & Leonard - NYC
* Now known as the "QUIET" space

Josh Harris Decides to throw a 3 day free event with open bar * Art & Video Everywhere * Non-stop Performance * DJ's * Goings On. It's a Pseudo.com party. They interviewed you on the way in. He named it Milenium Warmup and encouraged a mehndi tattoo of the party name, MILLENIUM WARMUP (yes, one 'n' in millennium), on participants' arms. The House of St. Eve created, serviced and staffed the bars on every floor and conducted a VIP area that was so private we won't talk about it, even now.

Well, how did I get here?
I could go way back, but I'll just go farther than I need to because it's fun to go farther than absolutely necessary. Awhile back, Gabrielle decided it was time to start singing her new songs in spite of the fact she no longer had a band. She was invited to sing at Mother, and afterwards a guy named David Kirkpatrick asked for her number. She met many people that night and drank on an empty stomach. The next day neither remembered the other and David apologized for confusing her with another girl entirely, but decided to meet up for a drink anyway. They became friends and he got her a job at his office. That was strange in and of itself because Gabrielle had just about given up on ever working in an office again but she had some html under her belt, and well, what the heck. Here she met Azhaday, a performance artist who worked as a patient and kindly tech support dude. Azha mentioned that he had a friend named Missy whom Gabrielle should meet. Missy is part of Feedbuck Galore who do video mixing and presentations. Gabrielle happened to be at a Unity Gain party one night and noticed that Missy was mixing. Gabrielle told her about the kind of parties she threw and Missy was interested. Months passed and Missy thought it would be fun to combine efforts for her birthday and called Gabrielle. Gabrielle feted Missy as part of the Green Demon Cabaret event and hired Feedbuck Galore to provide the necessary hallucinations. Buck, Missy's partner, is friends with Josh Harris and when Josh was looking for an intrepid bar handler, The House of St. Eve was suggested.
