More: Dragoncon Profile
Dragoncon: St. Eve is the namesake and project of New York City's L. Gabrielle Penabaz. The music has been described as a mixture of dark alternative pop and electronica based on strong melodies and danceable rhythms. The live shows are marked by Gabrielle's contralto voice and performance art elements including guest artists, costume changes and lighting effects. Each show is tailored to the venue and theme of the event, varying from a simple track date on a bare stage to a full-blown production. In the UK, and in the States during the summer of 2001, St. Eve has been performing as a band and will continue to do so as the opportunities arise.
St. Eve successfully supported a series of performances for Gary Numan this past spring in the UK, and has played with The Cruxshadows, Voltaire, Bella Morte, Glampire and others. St. Eve appears on the soon-to-be-released Songs of a Goddess, a Tori Amos tribute from Cleopatra Records, and in the documentary and soundtrack Sex, Death and Eyeliner.
